What DotVA is building in 2026 – a public roadmap
The public roadmap for DotVA in 2026. New AI implementation services, new tooling for clients, an expanded role taxonomy, and the editorial cadence we're committing to. Why we're building it in the open.
We’re publishing the DotVA 2026 roadmap publicly. Two reasons: it keeps us honest, and it lets prospective clients see what we’re building toward before they engage.
Here is what’s coming.
1. AI implementation as a sister service
The biggest expansion this year. DotVA started as a VA agency. In 2026 we’re adding “AI implementation” as a sister service line – we set up your Claude/ChatGPT/CRM stack for you.
What’s covered:
- Stack audits – 90-minute review of your current tooling, with a written report and prioritised recommendations
- Custom GPT builds – your trained ChatGPT or Claude assistant, fine-tuned to your business
- Claude Code setup + training – for AU teams who want to put Claude Code in front of their VA + ops team
- CRM automation – HubSpot, Pipedrive, GoHighLevel workflows
- AI receptionist – 24/7 phone + chat answering
- Email automation + AI triage
- Knowledge base build – internal Notion or Claude project for your team
- Workflow automation – Zapier/Make/n8n implementation
- Lead generation automation – Apollo/Instantly + AI workflows
- AI content engine setup – SEO + social production pipeline
Engagement model is application-based for everything except the stack audit (fixed $497). We scope, quote, deliver. Most projects are 4-8 weeks.
2. The tool suite
Six tools, all free, one already live and five shipping over the next 90 days:
- VA cost calculator (live) – slider-based estimate of monthly spend vs local hire
- VA readiness quiz – 12 questions, recommends tier
- First-week onboarding checklist – 30 items, interactive, downloadable as PDF
- SOP template pack – 10 standard SOPs we use on every placement
- AI prompt library – 40 ready-to-use prompts for AU VAs
- Industry task audit – pick your industry, tick the tasks, get a delegation map
Each tool stands alone. No email gate to use them; optional email if you want the PDF.
3. The editorial commitment
We’re committing to 24+ in-depth pieces in 2026. Mix of:
- Tactical guides (how to run a 30-day VA review)
- AI workflow pieces (Claude Code for VAs, prompt libraries)
- Industry deep dives (allied health, real estate, ecommerce, etc.)
- Opinion pieces from Jenn (this one is one of them)
- Editorial desk reference pieces (cost data, comparisons, calculators)
Fortnightly newsletter starting Q3 2026 (Beehiiv-hosted, free). One in-depth piece + a curated 5-link “what we read this fortnight”.
4. New SEO surface
The flip side of the editorial commitment is the SEO build. Through 2026 we’re shipping:
- 15 role pages (executive assistant, social media manager, bookkeeper, etc.)
- 20+ task pages (inbox management, podcast editing, cold email, etc.)
- 13 geo pages (Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, etc.)
- 16 comparison pages (DotVA vs Virtual Coworker / Airtasker / Upwork)
- 8+ case studies (real client stories with consent)
Goal: anyone Googling “VA who does X in Y city” finds DotVA in the top 5.
Why we’re publishing this
Two reasons.
One: accountability. A public roadmap is easier to walk away from than a private one. Posting it forces us to ship it.
Two: trust. Prospective clients deserve to know what we’re investing in before they engage us. If your business needs AI implementation work in 2026 and we don’t ship the service line by Q2, you’ll know and you’ll pick someone else.
The roadmap is updated quarterly. The next public update is end of Q2 2026.
